St. Tim’s 2026 Lenten Series:
The Nonviolent Life by John Dear
In The Nonviolent Life, John Dear asks: What is a nonviolent life? How can we become a people of nonviolence and help heal our world? Drawing on the lives and teachings of Jesus, Gandhi, and Martin Luther King Jr., Dear presents three dimensions of nonviolence: practicing nonviolence toward ourselves, toward all others—creatures and creation—and by joining grassroots movements for justice and peace. Together, we will reflect on the Gospels and Christ’s example as our guide.
Join us: Thursdays, February 26 & March 5, 12, 19, 6pm

Lenten Meditations from
Episcopal Relief & Development
Written by Sister Monica Clare, an Episcopal nun, author and unlikely TikTok star, our 2026 meditations offer an invitation to rediscover—or deepen—holy habits of prayer, worship and engagement with Scripture. These "holy habits" provide a path to a life that is given shape, meaning and direction by being rooted in a deeper relationship with God.
Renewal & Hope video series
This Lent, Seminary of the Southwest is offering a new Lenten project that invites the wider church into a season of renewal and hope. Designed to accompany the first five weeks of Lent, the series creates space for prayer, conversation, and faithful reflection on repentance, discipleship, and the promise of new life.
Lent Madness
What is Lent Madness?? Here's a snippet from their website...
"Lent Madness began in 2010 as the brainchild of the Rev. Tim Schenck. In seeking a fun, engaging way for people to learn about the men and women comprising the Church’s Calendar of Saints, Tim came up with this unique Lenten devotion. Combining his love of sports with his passion for the lives of the saints, Lent Madness was born on his blog 'Clergy Family Confidential' which has subsequently moved locations and become 'Clergy Confidential.'
"The format is straightforward: 32 saints are placed into a tournament-like single elimination bracket. Each pairing remains open for a set period of time and people vote for their favorite saint. 16 saints make it to the Round of the Saintly Sixteen; eight advance to the Round of the Elate Eight; four make it to the Faithful Four; two to the Championship; and the winner is awarded the coveted Golden Halo. The first round consists of basic biographical information about each of the 32 saints. Things get a bit more interesting in the subsequent rounds as we offer quotes and quirks, explore legends, and even move into the area of saintly kitsch."

COURAGE
Sunday, February 22 - Palm Sunday, March 29,
during the 9:15am liturgy
Just for this season of Lent, we will be taking the kids out during the sermon and Prayers of the People for picture books about compassion, diversity, and antiracism as well as Kids’ Choir! It’s open to all ages (Bigs and Littles) and will offer parents a little respite and the ability to focus on the sermon. Though, if you want or need to come with your kid, you’re very welcome! This season will culminate with the Kids’ Choir singing during the Palm Sunday 9:15am service.
