As we begin another Annual Giving Appeal, we are celebrating how God has made strangers friends for the last 70 years through the work of the people who make up this church. Without YOUR hands and feet, without YOUR support, this place would not be what it is today.
You can hear stories below about why this place became "home" to so many of us. We will wonder together how we support the next 70 years of this community, as the original members did for us. We will take a walk down memory lane and remember the good that God has in store.

The Basics

Making a financial pledge is promising to give a specific dollar amount of your financial resources to the operating budget of St. Timothy’s over the course of a calendar year.

Without the yearly giving appeal, St. Timothy’s would be unable to fund its mission:
89% of the budget comes from pledges
10% comes from non-pledged contributions
1% comes from loose offering -
Pledging tells us how much money St. Timothy’s will have to carry out its mission for the year and helps us plan our budget.
How much do I pledge?

That's between you, your family, and God.
Expenses have increased 8%, and therefore our giving will have to increase, but we will do it together.

The Vestry and Annual Giving Appeal committee are very aware of this. (What if you lose a job, the car breaks down, someone gets sick...)
Remember, the pledge is not a binding contract. If things come up, they come up! Instead of not pledging, consider making a "safe" pledge and if you are blessed with the resources to give more than you initially pledged, wonderful!

We obviously need to fund our budget, but that's not the main focus of making a financial pledge. Making a financial pledge is an opportunity to reflect on how grateful you are for all that God has done for you, and for St. Tim's role in God's "loving the world into being".

How is the money used?
This can be answered by looking at our budget in two ways: mission-focused and finance-focused

Loving Our Neighbors - 21%
We serve those beyond our walls through Outreach Ministries, financial support, and Diocesan Mission Share.Building & Grounds - 16%
Our facility, including both the building and the grounds that surround it, provide a space to gather not only for the St. Timothy’s community but also for our neighbors in the greater Anderson Township community.Pastoral Care - 12%
Clergy and others support people who are ill or in need.Faith Development - 11%
Our staff and volunteers support adults, children, and youth as we explore where the Spirit of God is leading us.Parish Life - 4%
Our fellowship and hospitality ministries welcome newcomers and connect members to each other.Worship - 19%
Our clergy and musicians lead worship services that deepen our connection with God and one another.Support - 17%

Our beautiful building and grounds have a cost for upkeep and insurance.15% - Diocese, Outreach, & Programs
We support the wider Church community through the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio and our outreach partners. This also covers material for children and teen programs, various studies, and other ways we learn and grow together.11% - Office & Organizational Services
There are many pieces that must come together for us to worship - printers have to have paper and ink, the computers must work, etc., and while they may seem small, each is very important to the operations of St. Timothy’s.
How do I pledge?
Saint Timothy’s uses a program called “Realm” to process pledges and giving. You will need a personal login, so if you have not yet set up a Realm account, please contact Parish Bookkeeper, Kathy at KathyM@SaintTimothys.com.
