The 7 Last Words - Walter Brueggemann sermons

The Seven Last Words of Jesus

The Rev. Dr. Walter Brueggemann

The gospels recount that Jesus spoke seven times during his final hours on the cross. Our service on Good Firday from noon - 3 pm offered opportunities to reflect on these expressions through music, readings, psalms, silence, and a series of homilies delivered by Walter Brueggemann. Below are links to the bulletin for the service (which includes the readings and psalms), and audio recordings of the seven sermons. (Due to technical problems, only the first 2 minutes of the seventh sermon are available. We apologize.)

"The Seven Last Words"  Bulletin
