Linda and Bob Bergholz shared a recent email exchange between the two of them which discussed the viability of food in the fridge for dinner.  (One many of us may have had before.) Although Linda's query was straight forward, Bob admits "it's always fun to mess with your spouse. A simple YES just doesn't suffice." Linda perseveres and all is well at the end.  However, it did cause them both to reflect on what might have been if they had not discovered at St. Timothy's the patience and tolerance of God's love through the support of their fellow parishioners.

Prior to having joined our beloved little band of souls on their journey to who-knows-where, there might well have been indiscriminate accusations of incompetence - and rebuttals judgmental, and unloving criticism - leveled by each of us - resulting in tears, extended silences, and maybe even no dinner at all…
Actually, it is rather simple. Linda and I are better people for joining St. Tim’s, and we thank everyone for their enduring generosity and love.

With the death of my mom and loss of my job in the same year, I couldn’t cope with the losses. Then Don and Margaret Elliott came into my life with their love and really caring about me. It was amazing for me to be accepted by the people in this church. Over time, Don and Margaret were always available when I needed help. ...they changed my life. I can’t imagine a better love story.

When our family was faced with a serious illness we saw family and friends (both old and new) excel to a higher level of love and support. We received notes, texts and emails not just for a few days but for months. At that time, we were not sure if Jon was aware of all the love and support but we are sure God will share our love story with him in heaven.

So many cards and well wishes were sent. Andy developed drastic complications and within a month it was evident that God’s plans were to heal him in heaven. I was shattered, but the love just kept coming. . . At a time when my world stopped, my extended church family was there to lift me.
