St. Timothy's Ministries Fair: September 5 & 12

Over the years St. Timothy's has empowered hundreds of members and non-members to participate in a number of vibrant Outreach ministries that serve others locally, regionally and internationally. This Fall's Ministries Fair focuses on in-house ministries in which we serve one another in this church community, especially those that are currently most in need of additional volunteers: altar guild, worship assistants, Lay Eucharistic Visitors, coffee hour, fellowship events, home-delivered meals and Stephen Ministry. On September 5 and 12 representatives of these ministries will be available following all of our services to discuss whether or not you feel called to serve in some way. El Hogar Needs Supplies and Volunteers

A group of adults will be going to El Hogar October 30-November 6. We can take 15 people and there are only two spaces left! El Hogar is an Episcopal school and orphanage in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, that provides a safe and loving home for about 250 poor and homeless boys and girls.

Interfaith Hospitality Network Needs Volunteers & Supplies

St. Timothy's will again be hosting families from the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) September 5-12 at the Comboni Mission Center. Volunteers are needed every night of the week to cook meals and provide all kinds of hospitality for our guests. The sign up sheet will be posted in the Gathering Space soon. They are also in need of the following supplies: Twin-size sheets, pillowcases and plastic mattress covers; Blankets; Towels; Pack ‘n Play Cribs; Toothbrushes; and Fans. Paper Recycling at St. Timothy's

We have placed a green and yellow Recycling Bin from Abitibi Recycling, the largest full circle recycler in North America, at the corner of the rear parking lot near the entrance. The bin will take newspapers, magazines, mail, school and office paper, and catalogs - no cardboard, plastic or garbage, please. We have been paying Rumpke for our paper pick up. If we can fill the bin, Abitibi will pay us! Click for details.
