2012 Annual Meeting Reports

During St. Timothy's Annual Meeting on February 5, the following parishioners were elected to positions of parish leadership:

Senior Warden: David Dreisbach
Junior Warden: Ellen Guerrettaz-Buelow
Vestry: Lonnie Spurlock, Jim Russell, Mary Ann Rank, Jane Whipple. (Vestry will appoint a replacement to fill Ellen's unexpired term on the Vestry.)
Diocesan Convention Delegates: David, Ellis, Jane Kammer Habig, Tom Habig, William West Alternate: Mary Ann Rank 
Planned Giving Committee: Ted Keller, Jim Russell

Interfaith Hospitality Network: 2/26 to 3/4: Volunteers Needed

The Interfaith Hospitality Network is a group of churches who take turns hosting homeless families who are part of the network. Families sleep and eat breakfast and dinner at the host churches for a period of one week before moving on to another host congregation. During the day, children go to school. Adults go to work or search for work or housing with the assistance of IHN staff. Each host congregation is responsible for providing meals, evening activities, and sleeping accommodations for the guests. All of this work is done by volunteers from the host parishes. Mardi Gras Celebration

Come join us for an evening of beads, masks, Creole food and fun on February 21, 5:30 - 7: 30 in the Parish Hall.  Children will be making masks and watching movies in the Gatherins Space. Adults can join the kids or have their own fun in the Parish Hall.

Sign up on the St. Tim's bulletin board and let us know what you will bring. Volunteers are welcome for set-up, clean up, food, and activities.  Any Pancake Chefs out there?  We need one for the kids!

Help Rebuild Trinity Cathedral in Haiti

A diocesan-wide effort to help rebuild Trinity Cathedral in Haiti has begun. Our Diocesan Conventon offering from November combined with contributions from individuals and churches have already put us on our way to the challenge goal of $60,000!

When you "buy a brick" ($10 donation) for Trinity Cathedral, you join congregations and faith communities in our diocese who are helping rebuild the center of spiritual and practical support for nearly 100,000 Episcopalians in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

 “Rebuild the Church in Haiti” is a national, grass-roots effort of the Episcopal Church to lift up one of our own dioceses after a year of crushing natural disasters.

 When you are ready to send in your donation, please make checks payable to St. Timothy's with "Rebuild our Church" in the memo. You may put it in the offering plate or send it to St. Timothy's at 8101 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH, 45255. The donations will be forwarded to The Episcopal Church Foundation. Family Sunday: Share the Love—February 12, 10:00

Come to the Parish Hall after the 9:00 service on February 12 and make a valentine for someone you love and for a St. Timothy’s member who can’t get to church. Family fun includes making valentines, bookmarks, magnets, treats and learning a love song! As a family you can deliver some of the valentine goodies you make to a homebound church member ~ sharing the love!
