Friday Night at the Movies
Catching the Light: Finding God in the Movies
Join us on First Fridays from 7:00 - 9:30 pm for an evening of film, food, and friendly conversation. We will watch a film together, looking for themes and questions around faith. Background materials and a brief guide will be provided. After the film, we can discuss our thoughts and discover where we find God in the
everydayness of our lives and the lives and circumstances of the people in the films. Please bring a drink to enjoy and a sweet treat to share during the discussion time. We will provide popcorn and coffee & tea. Child care will be available. Older youth are welcome to participate at parents' discretion. Film to begin at 7 p.m., discussion to follow. January 6, 2012: Shadowlands; February 3, 2012: Chocolat. Please sign up on the Adult Spiritual Formation bulletin board.
