Being Christ in the World
From Pentecost on, the first Christians believed that they were called to be Christ's presence in the world. Yes, Jesus had died, but the Christ who was raised never to die again was alive and well and working through them. Their ministry was about being Christ in the world.
St. Timothy's ministries are part of our attempt to be Christ in the world. They are much more than just jobs that need to be done; they are Christ's ministry to the Church and to the world here and now. To be sure, all of our lives are called to be Christ for the world. A parent's primary ministry is to his or her children; school teachers minister to their students; health care workers are an extension of Christ's healing ministry. Our ministries are the ways we share and sustain our common ministry. All are designed to deepen your relationship with God and with others in this community.

The poet Gerard Manley Hopkins writes "Christ dances in
ten thousand places." You are one of the places where Christ is dancing.
Let the dance continue.
